Testimonials about Matrix EWS
A letter from Garry Bullock
Allan , just a quick note on the Early Warning Detection System that is installed on the testing unit. It appears to be doing a great job identifying possible wash-outs. At the last location we flowed back 3 fracs through this system and picked up 2 Early Warnings. On inspection we found 2 swings that were badly washed and if we would have continued to flow through this swing, chances are that we could have had a release to atmosphere or injury.
So, in my opinion, the system seems like it will allow us to make necessary changes before we washed and therefore preventing a possible hydrocarbon release to atmosphere.
As you are aware, I have been in the business for 35 years and continue to appreciate innovative ideas such as the “Early Warning System”.
Thanks,Garry Bullock

A Testimonial from Todd Maheux, formerly of Anadarko/CNRL
During the 2005-2006 winter season Anadarko Canada Corporation employed the services of Mega Production Testing. The tank provided came equipped with the Worldwide Matrix Inc Early Warning System.
Mega Production Testing was involved in approximately ten sour sand-frac flowbacks. During two of these jobs the early warning system indicated that the elbows were washing and a completed washout was imminent. Necessary steps were taken and the washout and subsequent sour gas release was avoided.
Anadarko was completely satisfied with the service provided by Mega Production Testing. The Worldwide Matrix Inc Early Warning System has added another level of safety to our operations and will continue to be a part of our flow back operations.
Sincerely,
Todd Maheux, Northern Alberta & BC – Workover & Completion Superintendent

What Kevin Vanbuskirk: Field Eng says about Worldwide Matrix EWS:
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to utilize your newest p-tank equipped with the new “washout early warning system”. I believe that this will be a great addition to the industry and certainly one of the most important ideas to come along that addresses the hazards associated with flowing back corrosive and abrasive fluids.
I have had several close calls over the years, fortunately not resulting in injury, that this system would have completely eliminated. Critical sour well flow backs and frac flow backs are the two key areas that have resulted in washouts in the past, and I am confident that the World/Wide/Matrix Inc design will provide us with that extra safety margin we all strive for.
Once again, thank you, and good luck with this endeavor.

I am writing this letter in regards to the new technology used by Mega Production Testing. The Matrix Early Warning System. As to myself I have been working in the oil and gas industry for 26 years. This invention is a truly significant development for the industry. It is a simple principle with a very real and practical application. By having this system in place it eliminates the release of hydrocarbons to the atmosphere due to washing and is effective in temporary (mobile equipment) as well as production applications.
Having the system in place will protect men, equipment and the environment from releases due to surface line washouts. This alone as an issue of safety for worker’s on site as well as residents in the immediate area (sour wells) makes it indispensable. Having this system gives everyone involved peace of mind that they are working a significantly safer job site. As a partner in MJM I am looking forward to using this product in the future with our equipment. I am sure we are all going to be seeing a lot more of the Matrix in the future. Not only in Canada, but on a global scale.

Allan Gallant, Operations
During our four years of research and development with the Early Warning System, Worldwide Matrix is very pleased with results. 100% success rate(300 fracs / 60 potential wash-outs). and also are pleased employees feel safer and confident that they are able to detect a possible wash-out before releasing to atmosphere.
With my 15+ years experience I have witnessed several wash-outs due to Sand Recovery and Production. Most causing havoc or complications resulting from. For Instance, the Early Warning System is invaluable when performing Coil : Sand Clean-outs/Cleaning off and Pulling of Plugs/Sand Fracturing, and of course to the Testing Industry during Flow Back/Clean-Up operations.
Before Worldwide Matrix I was involved in Sand Clean-out Operation with Coil Tubing (due to sanding off during frac operation/sanding off during clean-up flow) where the downstream cross washed-out and subsequently forced us to shut in the well. In turn causing the coil tubing to become stuck in the well due to sand. Costly due to downtime off all services on location/also had the potential to create issues to health and safety of approx 30 men on Location (sour well) and environmental damages (hydrocarbon frac) oil spray.
If the testing unit been equipped with our Early Warning System I am confident we would have been able to prevent the release to atmosphere and in turn saved days of downtime due to complications.
